Participant Registration

Registration fees are $20 for an adult and $10 for a student (school teams=nursery, elementary, secondary or post secondary institutions) which includes a T-shirt in both cases. Toddlers are free. Anyone who collects a donation of $100.00 or more does not pay a registration fee.

Here are some key points to consider:

  • Designate a Team Captain who will call Rankin Cancer Run at 905-938-2RUN or 905-937-6295 or email rundirector@rankincancerrun.com by Monday May 4 to provide your team name, and required number of shirts and sizes. Sizes available are Youth L, Adult S, M, L, XL, XXL (team may consist of 4 or more). It is the responsibility of the Team Captain to ensure that all T-Shirt requests from online AND offline registrations for their team are included in this total! You can easily determine online numbers by logging in and selecting the "Manage Team Members" tool. There you will see a list of the team members and their T-Shirt sizes. Please note that all team members MUST REGISTER either online or offline. It is not sufficient for Team Captains to simply call or email and list the names of the members on a team!

  • Copy and give the registration/sponsor/donor form to each team member. Every team member must either be registered online OR complete and sign the paper registration form. Please note that there is a family section within the form.

  • Agree on a deadline to submit all money raised and forms to the Captain.

  • Designate a spot inside the park to help your team gather.

The Team Captain will bring all forms and money to the Grantham Lions Club on Thursday, May 21 for pre-registration between 1-9 p.m.and pick up "Team Run Kits"--a brown paper bag for Community Care food. Community Care "Run Kit" bags are to be returned run morning with non-perishable food items to the Community Care "bus".

Whether you use the registration form or the online system, if you have someone battling cancer or a survivor on your team please let us know by telephone or email and include the tea shirt size(s) as these participants receive a free orange shirt as well as the standard white participant shirt.

Very important! For online registrations, the email address you submit will be used as your unique User ID. As a result, duplicate email addresses will be rejected. Free email addresses can be obtained at Google GMail. When registering a family team with young children that do not have their own email addresses we suggest that the parent (team captain) simply adds an extra numeral before the "@" of their own email address (for example: parent's email=parent@email.com, child's email=parent1@email.com) and then select "No" for the "Enable Access" dialogue so the system does not attempt to use this artificial email address for any correspondence. The parent, through the team captain's portal, will still be able to monitor donations made in the name of the child. However, the child will not be able to log in independently. Alternatively, we suggest using an email address of another family member, relative or friend. This will enable the system to email the registration confirmation and credentials which will allow the child to log in and make use of fundraising functions such as providing a direct link to potential donors. If none of the above is satisfactory please download the registration form and register offline.
